Dead Monkey's and politics

It certainly wasn't ITV's marketing campaign, Johnny Vegas and ITV's monkey have formed arguably the best advertising campaign in years.

I am sure many people have illegal ITV digital cards enabling you to recieve every single channel free of charge.

In my opinion it is these who have forced ITV digital into administration. I hope they can sleep tonight, because it has emerged that six football league clubs could be forced to fold as a direct result of this deal.

At this point the six clubs remain nameless but our local rivals Grimsby Town were relying heavily on the money that ITV promised them, so could Grimsby be one of the unlucky six? We will have to see.

I hate the Cod'eads as much as the next man, but I would not wish any football club to fold even if their fans do claim to piss on our fish.

Speaking of the Cod'eads, has'nt Mike Jeffrey been a good addition to the squad? He is skillful, can hold up the ball and also has an eye for goal. I am sorry for slating you last week Mr Wharton, all is forgiven!

I believe in the loan signing of Tony Vaughan you have let Brian Laws bring in a player of the highest calibre and should be congratulated for doing so.

April 20th: Garcia Day
Tony Vaughan has experiece at every level of the game and at 6ft 1 he will add much needed height to the united defence.

The date has been set, Saturday the 20th of April, Garcia Day! I encourage you all to go to Glanford Park on that, the final day of the season and celebrate.

However a word of warning, do not take your spanish flags, take your Basque flags because Alex is from Basque and when he scored THAT goal he pulled his shirt over his head to reveal the Basque flag.

This suggests to me that Alex feels more identity with Basque than Spain. I do not want to put words in Alex's mouth but i think in taking off his shirt to reveal the Basque flag he could even have been signalling that he favours the seperation of the Basque region from Spain. (Note from ed - we have absolutely no idea on his politcial views, and we hold no views on the subject whatsoever. Honest)

So think Basque not Spain
