I hope people understand how busy we were upstairs and after the match. There was lots of ex-team mates we met with and little time to attend each one of the supporters asking for pics or autographs.
I would like to apologise to any left out or who missed the opportunity to share a brief moment with me. I was really pleased to see everyone at Glanford Park, club staff, directors, supporters, players and so on.
To all of them I would like to say a big thank you for such a wonderful day. It was really emotional. It was wonderful to be back "home".
It is also rewarding to see Scunthorpe still being run as a "familiar and accessible club", which no doubt represents our identity and provides a solid pillar for future success.
I wish Alan Knill and the players the best of luck for the coming season and have no doubts that with union from both players and supporters the club will repeat the recent successful years, and will be back to visit soon.
