Calvo nets first award

Voted for only by members of the club's official Irish supporters group, Calvo becomes the first club player to ever win the award twice.

He previously took the honour in 1998/99, when he socred the winning goal in the club's eventual playoff final - though he was voted winner before the playoff games, maybe a good omen as this season comes to an end.

The Basque midfielder will be presented with an engraved piece of Donegal china as well as a presentation bottle of Irish whiskey.

Runner up in the voting was player-coach Peter Beagrie, whilst Mark Jackson came in third.
