The 37-year-old shotstopper made his 700th career appearance in all competitions against Rotherham last week, and reaches another milestone on Saturday.

Since he rejoined the Iron last summer, after spells at Port Vale and Hull, Mussy has been an ever-present in the League.

And he has been a solid figure again this term in Scunthorpe's flying start to life in League One.

His two spells at the club, he made his debut in the first League match at Glanford Park in 1988 before joining Vale four years later, now seen him notch up 192 League games.

That makes him the third longest serving keeper in the Iron's history, behind only Tommy Evans (227) and Geoff Barnard (262).

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "I was disappointed when I was originally released by my home town club Portsmouth, but I can't grumble about the career I have had.

"It was great to come back here again last season and help United win promotion. It was something I feel we should have done during my first spell with the club."

Swindon will be without goalkeeper Rhys Evans for the game, as he has a tight calf.

Evans had looked to regain his place after recovering from surgery.

Defender Steve Jenkins (neck) is fit, but Jack Smith (groin) is out and Jerel Ifil serves the second game of a two-match suspension.
