Adkins' proud moment

The Johnstone's Paint Trophy final against Luton Town is the club's third Wembley date, having lost in the 1992 Division Four play-off final to Blackpool and beaten Leyton Orient in the Division Three play-off final seven years later.

And now, 10 years on from Alex Calvo-Garcia's heroics, Adkins is hoping to add another winning chapter of Iron history.

The celebratory pictures from that final win include Adkins, as the club's physiotherapist, and he will take a more central role in any celebrations this time round.

"The club's buzzing, it's a fantastic occasion for everyone to enjoy," he said.

"Our fans will be outnumbered, but let's try and outsing theirs. Let's enjoy every minute of it - let's not let it pass us by because you never know when it will come around again.

"It will be such a proud moment to lead the side out, it will be a proud day for everyone involved."
