Adkins: We're not there yet

The Good Friday victory, sealed thanks to an own goal from the Glovers' Nathan Jones just before the break, means United now have an 11 point gap to third-placed Nottingham Forest.

With an impressive goal difference, a seven point lead over second-placed Bristol City and an unbeaten run stretching over 19 games the final five games certainly look bright for Iron fans.

Even though City and Forest can cut the gap on Saturday, United need a maximum of seven points from their remaining matches to seal promotion.

But Adkins knows his side must remain 100 per cent focused if they are to win promotion to the second tier of English football.

"There are still five rounds left and we will keep jabbing away," he insisted.

"But we might have landed a good right hook. We're so close now, but we're still not there yet"

Yeovil boss Russell Slade hailed the dedication of his side.

"We played well against a Scunthorpe team who are the best in League One," he said.

"I believe we are still on course for the play-offs and I want us to enter them in some sort of form.

"I think we showed it, there are a lot of positives we can take from this defeat."
