All change for Iron reserves

The Pontins' Reserve League has now been split into three regional groups - West, Central, and East.

United will take part in Division One East, alongside local rivals such as Doncaster Rovers, Hull City, Grimsby Town, and Lincoln City.

Meanwhile, Sheffield United have been given the all-clear to play two reserve teams in next season.

Neil Warnock's senior reserve side will play in in Division One Central, whilst a younger second string side will play in the Iron's league.

The groups are:

Division One East - Darlington, Doncaster Rovers, Grimsby Town, Hartlepool United, Hull City, Lincoln City, Scarborough, Scunthorpe United, Sheffield United (2) and York City.

Division One West - Bury, Blackpool, Burnley, Carlisle United, Chester City, Northwich Victoria (subject to confirmation), Preston North End, Shrewsbury Town, Tranmere and Wrexham in Division One West.

Division One Central - Barnsley, Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, Nottingham Forest, Oldham Athletic, Rochdale, Rotherham United, Sheffield United (1), Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City.


The winner of each division will receive £2000 with the Play Off winner collecting £1500.
