The Iron were well beaten at the New Den, with centre-back Rob Jones heading the best chance wide in the first-half.

"We needed people to be brave and stand up and be counted and we didn't have nearly enough of that. We have to set our stall out when we come to places like this," said Baraclough.

"This is the first time I have had to question my players because I am not sure if that defeat hurt them enough, especially when you are on a run of defeats like we are.

"This is probably the most disappointing performance since I became manager. Normally everyone knows that they are going to have to battle against us but sadly that wasn't the case.

"I am questioning whether that defeat hurt us as much as it should have. Noone wanted to take the ball on to make a pass, we just kept shifting it on and going sideways and backwards."
