Staying put
Beags is taking a pay cut to remain with the Iron, and had delayed giving an answer to the club as he was on holiday.

Top scorer Martin Carruthers will also end speculation over his future by signing a deal, with Macclesfield Town still trying to tempt him despite a verbal agreement that he had accepted United's offer.

Ian Kilford will also sign his contract deal, as could Nathan Stanton who is prepared to accept a three year offer.

Assistant manager Russ Wilcox described Beagrie's decision to stay as pleasing, highlighting the stability it brings to the club.
