Scunthorpe play four times over the festive period, starting with a game against Chesterfield on Boxing Day.

And player-coach Beagrie knows good results could send his side right back into the play-off picture.

He told PA Sport: "It will have a massive shape on our season. We could make massive strides and it's important as far as (league) places go. Our fixture list for the period is tough.

"In an ideal world, you'd want to win the two games at home, and maybe get eight points overall. But if we could get 12 points, we could move five or six places up the league."
