Bristol Rovers apologise to Iron fans

United chairman Steve Wharton wrote to the club after poor and aggresive stewarding at the League Two fixture in November.

No provision was made for wheelchair-bound supporters, with two forced to sit on wet steps in the pouring rain in order to view the match.

Many Iron fans who were at the game posted their disgust on the messageboard, as well as the SUFC site, promting Wharton to take action.

Rovers chairman Geoff Dunford said: "I am sorry that your supporters were not treated to our usual standard of hospitality.

"To ensure this situation will not arise again I have asked our secretary to ascertain from all visiting clubs if they are aware of any wheelchair supporters travelling, so we can make the necessary arrangements for their comfort."
