Recall
McLean is set to get the nod to play alongside Steve Torpey as his regular strike partner Paul Hayes is struggling with an ankle injury.

Right-back Nathan Stanton's thigh strain has not improved and he will again miss-out, with Cliff Byrne racing back from Ireland to play.

Byrne came on as a late substitute for the Ireland U21 side tonight, and will fly into Leeds/Bradford airport tomorrow before dashing to York Street to play.

Lee Ridley is on standback in case Byrne does not arrive on time.

Basque midfielder Alex Calvo-Garcia is also set to earn a recall after his last minute heroics against Torquay last week.

Scunthorpe last met Boston in pre-season, when a Richie Kell goal seven minutes from time saw United reach the final of the Lincolnshire Cup.

Iron manager Brian Laws is expecting a physical game, but insists that his side are capable of returning with three points.

He said: "I am expecting a tough game, Boston are a biggish side and weill be looking to bounce back from last week's 2-1 defeat at Hull which was a very close game.

"But I will be disappointed if we don't come away with anything because we are going there looking for three points."
