Described bid as `derisory`
rst division Norwich City have been chasing Dawson for several months now, and Iron chairman Steve Wharton confirmed that an initial bid for the highly rated player was `derisory`.

Speaking on BBC Radio Humberside recently Wharton said that the Canaries had again been in touch regarding the player.

The Canaries have confirmed an interest in the player, and have stated that they have been in correspondence with Steve Wharton over a possible deal.

Iron chief executive Don Rowing has however denied all knowledge of any deal, claiming that the club have not received any offer for the player.

"So far we have had no formal bid from Norwich or any other club for Andy Dawson," he told the club's official website.

β€œAt the moment It is purely speculation.”

It seems strange that the chairman knows about a bid, yet the chief executive doesn't.

Iron-Bru.net certainly hopes this is just a case of crossed wires!
