As we told you yesterday manager Brian Laws was confident the deal would go through today, and the club have now revealed the name of the player.

Laws has previously tried to sign the player, but failed in a bid when he was playing for Fortuna Sittard.

He joined the Cod'eads in 2000 from Kilmarnock, but has failed to establish himself in their starting XI despite the Mariners inability to hit a barn door.

Jeffrey will go straight into the starting eleven for Saturday's visit of Carlsile United to Glanford Park.

Brian Laws has said that he feels Torps and Jeffrey will work well, whilst hoping he can replicate the impact Tony Witter had on the side after joining for the closing games of our last promotion campaign

β€œHe has played at many different levels and I am sure he can make an impact as we look to to push for promotion,” he told the club's official site.
