County swap Lillis for Forte

Lillis spent the last four weeks gaining valuable first-team experience at the Magpies, but the League Two side will go back to their first-choice keeper Kevin Pilkington after his recovery from a knee ligament injury.

Ian McParland, the County manager, said the decision to allow Lillis to return to Glanford Park was partly due to a tightening of finances at the club.

He was, however, able to find the money to take Forte back on loan to the club. He scored four times in as many games in a spell with the club earlier in the season.

But Forte has been unable to force his way back into the first-team picture at Glanford Park, with just two substitute appearances to his name.
