The 34-year-old centre-backhas helped the Iron gain 14 points from their first ten games, securing a comfortable mid-table spot at the moment.

"It's a magnificent start for us. We remain in the top half for the international break," he told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"We spoke about it at the start of the season, where we wanted to go and what we wanted to achieve and I am sure people will say so far so good.

"Hopefully that will continue and we will stay in the top half of the table for a long period of time.

"We have played 10 games and have 14 points, we will look to get results when we start back up in a couple of weeks.

"We have got keep that belief in what we are trying to do and we will see where it takes us come May."
