Dalglish talks with Linfield

Dalglish scored three times for the Iron, and is without a club after a move to the USA fell through.

He held talks with Scottish Premier Division outfit Hibernians, but a move failed to materialise and he is now hoping to resurrect his career on the Emerald Isle.

While he was at Glanford Park he had refused to speculate over a possible full-time move to North Lincolnshire, insisting that no deal had been offered to him.

Co-incidentally Scunthorpe United's first team squad are also in Ireland, as they flew out today for a five day training camp at Limerick University.

The payers will have three training sessions a day, but will be back for the Open Day on Sunday.
