Darlington suspensions stand

Both players were shown straight reds after appearing to headbutt 18-year-old Iron defender Andy Butler in last week's Third Division game at the Reynolds Arena.

Ryan Valentine, who was sent off in the 70th minute, appealed his ban but the FA have decided it will stand.

Darlington manager Dave Hodgson said: "It is a massive blow. What disappoints me is that we sent the FA other angles of the incident but by the looks of it they havent even bothered looking at them."

Barry Conlon, who was sent off ten minutes from time, did not appeal against his card.
