Fans confident after double wins

Tuesday night's 2-1 win at Port Vale moved the Iron up to 12th in the table, six points clear of the relegation zone.

It came after a 3-1 success at Gillingham on Saturday, back-to-back wins away from home which provided a massive boost to United's fight against relegation.

Since the players came off the pitch at Vale Park we have been inviting users to tell us whether they think Scunthorpe will stay up or not.

A whopping 92.3 per cent of voters said that they did, with just 7.7 per cent saying no.

It will provide a welcome fillip for Iron manager Brian Laws, after 66.4 per cent of users voted for him to be sacked in a recent Iron-Bru.net poll.

The last time we asked fans whether they were confident of Scunthorpe staying up was at the end of November - 54 per cent of users said they thought the Iron would survive.
