Fans not confident of success

61.5% of voters said that they were not expecting promotion from the third division this season, despite coming desperately closing to participating in the playoffs last time round.

38.5 of those who responded however still say that they are expecting the side to go up.

United are operating on a smaller squad this year, with Lee Hodges, Carl Bradshaw and Stuart Thom amongst the high profile departures.

The only player brought into the club over the summer was 21-year-old forward Paul Wheatcroft, a former Manchester United trainee and England schoolboy.

With just two points from our first two games of the season our latest poll asks if these results - 1-1 draws with Wrexham and Exeter - have affected your hopes for the season.
