Forte accepts 12 month deal

Forte was largely used as a substitute by the Iron manager Nigel Adkins, who played him 34 times but only 10 of those were from the start of a match.

 

He scored three goals, including one in the dramatic 4-0 win at Crystal Palace when he excelled as a lone forward.

 

He has been at Glanford Park since the summer of 2007 when he signed from Sheffield United as part of the deal that saw Billy Sharp return to the Blades.
