Garcia Day: We're not alone

Our sister site for Burnley has also been running a campaign all week, urging fans to wear Claret And Blue down to Turf Moor.

You can check the latest details for the campaign, which has been backed by the Lancashire club, at Clarets Mad.

Our playoff rivals Rushden And Diamond's have also decided to use colour as a theme for tomorrow, declaring their trip to Halifax Town as Yellow Day.

The Diamonds hope that their plans will help spur on the side to secure an all important victory which would secure the village team (literally) a playoff spot, possibly at our expense.

The club's goalkeeper has backed the idea, saying, : “I remember the success of the last yellow day when we played Chester City. Our supporters made a lot of noise on that day and it was a great occasion. I hope the supporters will get behind us on Saturday.”

Meanwhile our very own Garcia Day has been backed by a large number of Iron fans who have taken the Basque playoff hero to heart since Mick Buxton brought him to the club in 1996.

The club have promoted the idea, and whilst were unwilling to comment due to ongoing contract talks will undoubtedly like to show their apppreciaton to the midfielder who has worked tirelessly for the club over the years and has taken the team, and town, to heart.
