A stamp from Richie Foran left the forward with a gash to his ankle left Carruthers in doubt for tomorrows game, but he has been in included in the squad.

Fellow injury doubts Lee Featherstone and Mark Jackson are also set to be fit enough to take part in the game.

Lanky defender Jamie McCombe is still not fit enough to be involved, but he should be fit for the visit of Rochdale on Tuesday night.

Iron manager Brian Laws said before Tuesday's win at Carlisle that he would be happy with three points out of the two tough away games, but is still confident that United can return north with at least a point.

He said: "We will be looking for the full three points but I will be delighted if we don't get beat. We got three points on Tuesday and I said I would be happy with three out of six.

"I'd be ecstatic with four, and voer the moon if we could manage to get six. We are going there with a game plan not to get beat, but we will also be looking to take the three points."
