Gordon trials with Iron

Gordon is currently a free agent after being released by League Two side Notts County.

He began his career at Hull City, but made his name at Lincoln after a £30,000 move in 1997.

His form at Sincil Bank impresed Championship side Cardiff City enough to spend £275,000 on him in 2000, but he managed just 13 first team goals in his four years in south Wales.

After a loan spell at Oxford, where he scored once in seven appearances, he joined Notts County in the summer of 2004.

The Iron's second string lost the game at Glanford Park 2-1, with Andy Crosby netting the consolation from the penalty spot after Joe Wilcox was felled in the area.
