Hinds to make return

Hinds could move straight back into defence, and will battle it out with Andy Butler for a place if he gets back to full fitness. Butler will undergo a fitness test after missing the last two matches with hamstring problems.

Matt Sparrow (knee), Marcus Williams (hamstring) will be looking to return to the squad, while skipper Andy Crosby should be fit after coming off at half-time with a head injury during the Iron's LDV Vans Trophy exit at Hereford in midweek.

Nathan Stanton (knee) is the Iron's only long-term injury absence, with Steve Torpey set to be on the bench as he continues to build up fitness following a knee injury.

Chesterfield captain Shane Nicholson, Derek Niven and Mark Allott all return from bans for the trip up the A1.

Alex Bailey has recovered from a hamstring strain and is in contention for a place on the bench as Roy McFarland's side look for their first League win at Glanford Park since February 1995.
