Injury concerns for Yeovil trip

Hamstring injury
First choice striker Steve Torpey is a doubt with a hamstring injury which saw him replaced in the second half of Wednesday night's FA Cup replay win over Sheffield Wednesday at Hillsbrough.

Midfielders Richard Kell, Terry Barwick, Peter Beagrie and Wayne Graves - who has been asked to fill in as an emergency right-back.

The slight knocks are a result of recent exertions including an FA Cup replay, two sessions of sapping extra-time and a penalty shootout - all without any real time to recover between games.

Nathan Stanton will travel down with the squad, but he will only be handed a surprise start if Wayne Graves fails to prove his fitness.

Captain Mark Jackson also faces a fitness test to take a place on the bench, he had an injection earlier in the week in a bid to heal a ankle injury sustained in the FA Cup draw against Sheffield Wednesday at Glanford Park.

Tomorrow's match is a sell-out for home fans, with the prospect of an FA Cup Third Round tie against Liverpool creating a euphoria of football fever in the Somerset town.

There will be a familiar face up front for the Glovers, with former Iron forward Kirk Jackson leading their strike force alongside Kevin Gall.

The 27-year-old scored just once for the Iron in a seven-month spell in North Lincolnshire, though he did strike twice in a friendly win over the Palestine national team.

Yeovil will be without their first choice midfield pair of Darren Way and Lee Johnson, but go into the game on the back of strong wins over Lincoln City and Wrexham.
