The game is expected to be made all-ticket later this week, and the Iron will be hoping for a sell-out.

Manager Laws is delighted with the potential moneyspinning tie and feels his side has what it takes to upset the Midlands club, managed by Steve Bruce, and with a wealth of top international stars on their books.

"We're at home and it's a great tie for us. It's certainly one that we won't be afraid of," Laws told the Scunthorpe Telegraph.

"We have played well against Premiership teams in the past few seasons and that will give us confidence to face Birmingham."

The game will be played on the week commencing Monday 19 September.
