Prutton has made the move to Glanford Park on a short-term loan deal that sees him join Alan Knill’s squad until mid-November.

The 30-year-old is yet to feature for the Owls this season and Dave Jones has allowed him to move in order to play first-team football.

The Hull-born central midfielder will add much-needed steel and experience to the Iron midfield and has over 400 league appearances under his belt after spells at Nottingham Forest, Southampton, Colchester, Leeds, and Swindon before joining Wednesday in 2011.

The former England U21 international goes straight into the squad for Tuesday night’s Capital One Cup second round tie at Norwich City.
