The 20-year-old has been at Glanford Park for the past two months, and has caught the eye with a strong of impressive performances.

Now Iron manager Brian Laws hopes to extend his loan spell in North Lincolnshire until the summer.

But it could hinge on how quickly Blues can turn round their Premiership fortunes.

Under-fire boss Steve Bruce has vowed to give his young players a chance in the first-team if the more experienced players do not improve their performances.

Laws, however, is confident of keeping Till beyond his loan spell - which expires in a month's time.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "When that is up at the beginning of January, then we hope to keep Peter on extended long-term loan.

"He is a good young player and is enjoying it here at Scunthorpe. This is his first taste of first team football and he does not want to go back to playing in the reserves at Birmingham."
