The Iron have two former Iron players in their squad, with both Martyn Woolford and Adam Boyes joining from the Minstermen.
York also have one former Scunthorpe player in the ranks, with Michael Rankine scoring 10 times in all competitions for them this season.
He scored just once in 24 appearances for the Iron in 2004-5 after joining from Barrow. Apart from four games on loan at Bournemouth in 2008-09, the rest of his career has been outside the Football League.
