Jeep to become main sponsors

The deal comes about thanks to the connections of Iron director Simon Elliott, who is also managing director of car company Daimler Chrysler UK - Jeep is on of their brands.

Jeep hit the headlines earlier in the season when they sponsored United's shorts, with the Iron the first club to take advantage of new FA regulations.

Speaking at the time of the short deal, Elliott said: "Like the Jeep brand, Scunthorpe combines ruggedness with style, and I am hopeful that they will be able to maintain their winning streak."

Current shirt sponsors H&L Garages will sponsor the club's shorts, while the back of the shirt could also be sponsored.
