Jennings last minute goal on Saturday won the game for Macclesfield against Wrexham, completing his hat trick and sealing a 3-2 victory.

The former Stalybridge Celtic man has notched 12 goals in 9 games for the Silkmen, but has still not done enough to impress Iron boss Brian Laws who seems reluctant to recall him.

"He was bright, he worked his socks off and he’s probably the best player I’ve seen in the league to date,” said Wrexham boss Morrell.

Macclesfield boss John Askey admitted he is worried Jennings goalscoring form will be attracting the attention of clubs in the higher divisions, despite being delighted with his performances so far.

“Connor has been fantastic since he came in and our problem will be keeping him here because he’s scoring that many goals that someone will want to take him on.”

Jennings is on loan to the Silkmen until January and is cup tied after playing in the qualifying rounds of the FA Cup.
