Could replace Kell
Kell broke his right leg just above his ankle an hour into Saturday's 2-1 win over Hull City, after a late challenge from Mike Edwards and will not be able to return to full action until next season at the earliest.

Laws was due to meet chairman Steve Wharton to discuss bringing in a replacement for Kell, however it is believed that due to the dangerous current state of the club's finances Wharton was not keen on bringing anyone in.

With Beagrie suspended for Saturday's visit of table topping Plymouth Argyle Laws must now make two changes to his midfield.

Scott Brough is expected to come in on the left wing in the place of Beags, whislt Carl Bradshaw, Wayne Graves and Matthew Sparrow are competing for the central midfield role alongside Alex Calvo-Garcia.

Bradshaw has recently delayed an operation until the new year to be available over the christmas and new year period, though it is unlikely Laws will want to risk further aggravating his injury without need.

That would leave a straight battle between youngsters Wayne Graves and Matthew Sparrow for a place in Saturday's starting eleven.

Sparrow staked his claim earlier in the week by scoring twice for the reserves in the 2-1 Lincolnshire County Cup Semi-Final win over Stamford, but has yet to make an appearance for the first team after his early release from gaol.

Wayne Graves has also yet to feature after breaking his ankle earlier in the season, though both are now fully fit and raring to go.
