The 18-year-old played twelve times for Scunthorpe after joining on the eve of the new season, scoring twice.

His spell at Glanford Park was cut short due to an injury crisis at parent club Leeds, and he made his first-team debut for them as a substitute in the Carling Cup game at Portsmouth.

He is expected to complete his move to the Shakers in time to debut against United on Saturday.

They turned to Keogh as a direct replacement for top scorer David Nugent, who has joined Preston North End.
