Keogh misses out on prize

Keogh was shortlisted for the award, which was presented by the Football Association of Ireland in Dublin.

Bolton's Joey O'Brien claimed the prize, beating off the competition from Keogh and Manchester United's Paul McShane.

Reading's Kevin Doyle was named the U-21 player of the year, with Newcastle goalkeeper Shay Given taking the senior honour.
