Laws delighted at Orient win

A second-half volley from Irish youngster Andy Keogh sealed the win, a welcome return to form for United.

Laws said: "I am delighted with the three points. We set our stall out not to get beaten and looked solid.

"They had a go at us but it was a stop-start game and that killed any hopes of getting a rhythm going.

"We stepped up the tempo in the second half and Keogh's goal will have given him confidence. He has the kind of spark we need.

"It is important we don't put too much pressure on Keogh, coming from Leeds to Scunthorpe is a major decision in his life and pressure is always on strikers."

Leyton boss Martin Ling said: "I was disappointed, Scunthorpe is always a difficult place to visit and in the end they were the better side and deserved the points.

"The quality of our ball to the front two was not good enough, Lee Steele and Gary Alexander are good strikers, but our service to them was not good.

"I shall be looking at the video of Gary Alexander's sending off before making any comment on it."
