Laws: Forest links don't bother me

The departure of Gary Megson has left a vacancy at the City Ground, where Laws played under the famous Brian Cough.

Former team-mate, and England international, Steve Stone has championed Laws' name - while Burton Albion boss Nigel Clough, son of Brian would also be a popular choice.

But Laws insists he is fully committed to his role at Glanford Park, telling The League Paper: "It is not something that bothers me.

"I wasn't surprised that people put two and two together and made five. I played for Forest and have a lot of friends there.

"They are a club I hoped I would go back to one day, whether in management or otherwise.

"I can't stop speculation, but my most important job is to make sure Scunthorpe are still playing in League One next season."
