Laws: I can ask for no more

A third successive home draw leaves the Iron still without a win in the league this term.

But Laws said: "We had no fewer than 20 efforts at goal in the second half.

"We battered Brentford but just did not have the luck when we needed it, hitting the woodwork three different times.

"It still leaves us looking for our first win of the season but with performances like this we have got to believe that it will come very soon.

"I could not ask any more from my players, other than perhaps putting the ball in the back of the net."

Brentford boss Leroy Rosenior added: "I thought we played really well in the first half and deserved to be in front.

"But we made life difficult for ourselves by giving away far too much possession.

"We invited pressure on ourselves. When we get the ball down and pass we look a good team but when we don't then the picture is different.

"We are a young side and still learning but I would have much preferred a boring 1-0 win rather than an action packed game like this."
