Laws leaps to Crosby's defence

Andy Crosby
Some fans in the Evening Telegraph stand shouted abuse at Crosby during the game, to which he responded.

Crosby later apologised to anyone who was offended by his comments, but Laws thought the supporters who made the criticism were out of order.

He told BBC Radio Humberside: "One or two spectators had a go at Andy for not doing things quicker, and that disappoints me.

"For goodness sake, we're joint top - and yet a player comes off the park, very unhappy that he's had some verbal abuse.

"I'm not talking about 'come on Crosby', it was slanderous and that is not acceptable."
