Laws: "One point is better than none"

A second half strike from veteran winger Peter Beagrie salvaged a point for United yesterday after Oxford had taken the lead through a controversial spot-kick.

Laws said: "I'm disappointed for the simple reason that we really dominated Oxford.

"The thing that we're all querying is Oxford's first half penalty - the referee was the only person who saw anything.

"But I don't want it to overshadow the fact that we put in a fantastic performance. We played really, really well and deserved to get all three points.

"But one is better than none but we'll go away knowing we played well and didn't get all three points."
