Laws has the option of partnering Steve Torpey with either Hayes or Parton, and will not panic if he hasn't secured someone by the time the season starts.
He told the club's official site: "There is no point bringing in someone who is exactly the same, we want to bring in someone who is different to what we have got.
"If we can't get anyone with experience then we will be looking to bring someone in with pace and who can finish.
"There will be plenty of players around and I'm prepared to wait."
