Laws praises players

“The players were fantastic, absolutely awesome”, Laws told BBC Radio

Chuffed, then
Humberside.

“The tempo, the pace, they never let the tie drop. We caused them problems and could have been 3-0 up, which would have really killed the game.

“However credit to them they got themselves back in the game and made it very difficult for us.

“I thought we deserved the victory, we were the better side on the day, it was a fantastic performance from everyone of the players.

“We’ve had two defeats but spirits are still as high as they ever were and as long as we keep playing like that they will remain that way.

“I thought Jamie McCombe came close to winning Man-of-the-Match because he had an excellent game.

"He showed composure way above his eighteen years. If he keeps playing like that then he will start attracting attention from the bigger clubs.

“It is important for the club to be in round three, I’m delighted for the Chairman because he has been excellent since taking over and we all hope we get a big club in the next round.

“The result sets up the derby match with Hull next week nicely and supporters’ would be mad to miss it the way we are playing.”
