Second-half goals from the youngsters stretched United's unbeaten league run to five games.

"It's a long time since we beat Doncaster here, but this was our day and we'll enjoy it," beamed Laws.

"It's pleasing to send our own supporters home happy. It was a poor first-half, but after the interval we found the sort of tempo that we need to make us look a good team.

"It was pleasing to see Sharp and Keogh both get on the score sheet. When they are on form they're the best partnership up front in League One."

Sean O'Driscoll tasted defeat for the first time since taking over as Rovers boss five games ago.

"It was a disappointing performance," admitted the former Bournemouth manager.

"My players let frustration get the better of them and unfortunately that for me is the biggest disappointment of all.

"We did Okay in the opening 45 minutes, but once we fell behind like we did early in the second-half, that's no excuse for abandoning things we have worked on hard in training.

"I would not question the effort or commitment of my players, but I would question their thought patterns"
