Veteran striker Tommy Johnson is the Iron's only injury doubt, he is ruled out with a hamstring injury, though the former Aston Villa and Celtic hitman failed to even make the bench against Huddersfield in midweek.

Although United were held in that game, with Martin McIntosh hitting a last-minute equaliser for the Terriers, boss Brian Laws insists confidence is high in the squad.

He told the Scunthorpe Telegraph: "We travel to Ashton Gate with optimism and confidence.

"We are creating chances and Andy Keogh is at the top of his form. They've been on a short break in the Algarve si hopefully they will come back too relaxed."

City will also be unchanged, with boss Gary Johnson naming the same side that beat Walsall 3-0.
