Laws: we can upset Villa

Consecutive home wins - 3-0 against Port Vale and 1-0 against Cheltenham - have propelled the Iron up the League One table.

And although Villa are unbeaten in their Premiership campaign this term, Laws insists his side are capable of a shock.

He told the matchday programme: "It's certainly going to be a difficult night for us, but we all know in football that it's not quite as clear as that.

"Just because you're a very good side, it doesn't necessarily guarantee that you will win. I am sure that Martin is very much aware of the slip-ups that can occur if you're not quite on song, but we're expecting a tough night.

"Having played two home games already in the last week, those who have paid to see all three games have seen some fantastic football being played, certainly in the last two home games we've been exciting to watch.

"If we can produce that form then who knows, that might just give us an upset.

"We may play Aston Villa a hundred times and just once they might slip up – will that once be tonight? We shall wait and see, but the players are looking forward to it, I'm looking forward to it."
