Laying down the Laws

United fell behind after just 32 seconds to a Simon Yeo strike, and rarely looked like getting back into the game.

A disappointed Laws said: "If you give Lincoln a goal in the first minute it is hard to get a grip on the game. It was a local derby, it means a lot to us.

"Obviously it was not good enough because we did not get anything out of it, though they were two great finishes.

"Every player is committed to the cause ,but conceding a goal in the first minute of a game is the last thing you want to do.

"Yeo brought it down and smashed it straight in. There are six games left, I want a bit more on Saturday."

Lincoln boss Keith Alexander said: "We have been playing well in recent weeks, we had a few critics at the start of the season when we weren't winning at home, but when it mattered the lads came good, I thought they deserved it.

"I was delighted with the team performance, we are not about stars. Simon scoring early meant they had to come at us.

"We are in a play-off position and we have got to stay there, and one or two of the top sides have still got to come here, and we are looking forward to that."
