Lillis hoping for confident Huddersfield

Huddersfield beat Crystal Palace 1-0 and former Scunthorpe assistant manager Lillis hopes the players will now grow in confidence as a result.

"I have been in charge about a week now and it was all about getting in amongst the players and finding out what makes them tick, what their families are like", Lillis said.

"If you get the respect of the players you have a chance."

The win over Palace, who are cemented in the play off positions in the Championship, follows a draw in the FA Cup with high flyers Leicester.

"It's all about putting confidence back into the players", Lillis added.

Lillis is best remembered by Iron fans for running around the Glanford Park pitch with a St George's flag ahead of the 1998/1998 play off semi final with Swansea at Glanford Park.
