It will be Lillis' second spell on loan, after he spent the majority of last year with League Two outfit Notts County.
Iron boss Nigel Adkins last week admitted that he was hoping somebody would come in with an offer for Lillis, as it would give him some valuable experience and help him to break into United's first team in the future.
