Lincoln City game brought forward

The Imps have decided on the earlier kick off to avoid a clash with the International between England and Portugal.

The Sincil Bank outfit also say that the Centre Spot Bar will be open after the match and will be showing the match live.

Away fans are usually welcomed into the bar, and Irob-Bru.net has been a regular in there over the past few seasons.

City have not yet told us whether or not the match will be all-ticket, or whether they will again the highly dangerous overcrowding which has taken place in the Stacey West Stand in each of our last two visits can again be expected.

United's official supporters side, the Iron Filings, are also expected to be in action before the match when they once again meet the Dam Netbusters.

The time change is in contrast to the visit of Halifax Town to Glanford Park in October 2000, one of just two matches which took place at the same time as the vital World Cup Qualifier against Germany.

At the time, chief executive Don Rowing explained that the club though interest in the match would be low, and although the match turned out to be a damp squib our neighbours from down the A15 have learnt from our mistakes.
