Red Card
The striker, who already faces a police investigation after allegedly assaulting Hartlepool United defender Chris Westwood after the Shrews drew two all at Victoria Park last month, was sent off in second half stoppage time for the incident.

The incident took place just yards from the home dugout and his manager Kevin Ratcliffe said after the match that Rodgers will face a club fine.

"I saw it quite clearly and there is no way I can condone that sort of conduct," said Ratcliffe.

Iron manager Brian Laws also had no sympathy for the striker who has netted 18 times so far this season.

The ref got it spot on," said Laws.

"Rodgers is a good little player but he has an indiscipline problem."

The player himself has admitted he deserved the red card.
